A [Wish]Prayer For You

School is over
And everyone has a wish.
But, why should I wish
When I can pray?
That way the answer
Is GOD'S to say.
I pray that you grow up
Not six feet tall,
But there in your top
So you won't think small.
A heart for good nature
Good thoughts for the soul,
Small people are giants
When their spirit is whole.

Slow Down

Slow Down

No time for the children?

 

No time for the wife?

 

No time for yourself?

 

Brother, take time for reflection
for here we are lost in a jungle

 

of structures.

 

Demented by the sophistications

 

of life in the city.

 

Rushing the hours

 

for financial stability.

 

But, what have we really achieved?

 

This solitude amidst a rousing crowd

 

is the loneliness felt by the soul.

 

For deep in the crevice of being

 

is a beggar left untold.

 

So,

 

take each day a step,

 

savor each moment in depth,

 

for here we are missing everything

 

that life wants us all to feel.
